Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is an American actor, singer and model. She was a model for a while before becoming an actress. She was the lead female vocalist in Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. Apollonia was christened as an actress and female singer by Prince. The 1980s were a time of change for her Apollonia was one of many other artists that benefited from Prince. Patricia Kotero is a Californian actress who was born in Santa Monica in 1959. Her first career was acting as a model for television. In 1984, she was chosen to play the lead actress in Prince's Purple Rain. (During this period, she also changed her name.) Then she was replaced by Vanity as a member of the female trio Vanity 6 which starred in the movie with Apollonia 6 under their name. Sex Shooter was only a small achievement for the group however, she had an even bigger effect as the duet partner of Prince with Take Me with You on the soundtrack. Kotero's relationship with Prince ended when the pair disagreed on her future career path. Apollonia 6, the group she was part of, ended up splitting. Following her appearance in minor movies (and reportedly refusing to be a part on The Purple Rain film Under the Cherry Moon), she was a part of the 1985-86 evening drama Falcon Crest. Apollonia's debut album was released in 1988. But the R&B/dance songs were not a huge hit by the public who purchased music. The album soon vanished. In the years that followed her career was a full-time actor, with a few film appearances and a few TV series. Apollonia created a bilingual Spanish and English album called Stay With me. Later, she returned to the school and earned a filmmaking degree which led to her forming a production company, often working on the field of children's TV. Apollonia Kotero is a multi-faceted person. She was a former actor, singer and model. The part she played as an actress in 1984's Purple Rain made her a famous star. Also, Kotero has appeared on TV shows and in films such as Black Magic Woman. Kotero debuted her career as a model. Kotero has been a part of numerous competitions and pageants. Kotero was also an entrepreneur and created Kotero Entertainment, a multimedia entertainment business.
