Linda Edna Cardellini (n e Lorraine (Hernan) was born to Wayne David Cardellini (a businessman) in Redwood City. Her parents are of Italian, German (from the paternal maternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish descendance. Linda was born in the San Francisco Bay region, California as the youngest of four siblings. At the age of ten, old, she became enthralled by acting when she performed an instrumental role during her school's Christmas play.
